Importing from Korea to the US
Full containers and LCL from Busan to Savannah and other US ports, with ISF, customs clearance and delivery coordinated by one senior team.
How importing from Korea works
- Quote. Send us your supplier's address, the goods and the Incoterms (often FOB Busan). You get an all-in rate and a sailing within 1 business day.
- Pickup in Korea. We coordinate with your supplier for pickup, export paperwork and loading in Busan.
- ISF filing. US Customs needs the Importer Security Filing (ISF, or 10+2) at least 24 hours before the cargo is loaded. We gather the details and make sure it's filed on time.
- Ocean transit. The cargo sails to Savannah or another US port. You follow it in your client portal and get an email when it departs and arrives.
- US customs clearance. Our partner licensed customs brokers file the entry, with HS codes and duty guidance, so the cargo is released quickly.
- Delivery. We truck the container or your pallets to your warehouse, or you collect at the port.
Documents you'll need
- Commercial invoice and packing list from your supplier.
- ISF details: seller, buyer, manufacturer, ship-to address, country of origin and HS codes. Most come from your supplier; we help collect them.
- Importer of record number (usually your EIN) and a US customs bond. If you don't have a bond, our partner broker can arrange one.
- The bill of lading, which we issue.
Duties and costs
Your quote lists the freight and handling charges up front. US duties and fees depend on the goods and their HS codes; our partner brokers give you an estimate before the cargo arrives, so there are no surprises at clearance.
